Hutchinson: Treat each game as
your last

IAN Hutchinson has let out a war cry ahead of tomorrows
titanic clash against unbeaten league leaders Cambridge City
at the Bob Lucas Stadium (3pm) by insisting that his troops
must approach every game like their lives depend on
it.
Weymouth remain cut adrift at the bottom of the Zamaretto
Premier Division on minus four points and with the club offering
free entry to the game to serving members of the Armed Forces
as a thank you for their incredible work, Hutchinson is hoping
for a full-blooded performance.
He said: Cambridge are flying high. They are unbeaten
and a very strong, experienced and well-organised side but
as we showed at Salisbury City, we are capable of competing
with teams at the top and I will be expecting a big performance.
We are going to need characters and winners out there,
and we have got to go into every game like our lives depend
on it.
Every encounter is going to be tough but we have to
get in amongst these teams and not sit back. Our home form
has been disappointing to say the least but our fans have
been fantastic and we owe them a good display.
Beating Taunton Town in the FA Cup last week should
give the lads confidence and in the opening exchanges tomorrow
it will all be about winning individual battles and earning
the right to play.
Sometimes football is as much about mentality as it
is about physicality, and we will need to make sure we are
completely on our game from the very first whistle.
Hutchinson went on to add: We have got a league table
up in the dressing room without the 10-point deduction and
it shows we are not far away.
We also have other posters up and keep having a lot
of conversations about it, and we will keep hammering the
message into them until it sticks.
Hutchinson is still on the prowl for a couple of new recruits
and he has not given up hope that something might happen in
the next 24 hours.
He said: We need a couple more and we have been working
hard all week to make that happen, so we will wait and see.
Meanwhile, Scott Dixon has left the club and linked up with
another ex-Terra, Scott Brice, at Zamaretto Division One South
& West outfit Almon-dsbury Town.
In terms of team news for Wey-mouth ahead of tomorrow, Sam
Clarke will undergo a late fitness test on his injured back
while forward Pierre Joseph-Dubois is expected to be available
despite a recent bout of tendonitis.
Simon Radcliffe remains sidelined with a hernia and an Achilles
injury.
