Gill resigns
By Derek Bish

Thursday 11th March 2010

WEYMOUTH manager Jerry Gill has resigned from his post as manager, just 44 days after joining the club.

A statement from chairman George Rolls on the Terras' website said: "It is with regret that this morning Jerry Gill has tendered his resignation of manager of Weymouth Football Club.

"After speaking with Jerry I have accepted the resignation.

"Since Jerry came to the club, he has had to work with a very limited budget and has proven to the players and myself that his coaching abilities are first class.

"With further budget cuts Jerry couldnt afford to continue as the manager as he was travelling from his home Birmingham three times a week.

"We at Weymouth FC wish him all the best for the future."
